Mark Russell, PE

Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineer and Director
    Mark Russell is the founder and CEO of HyperSciences. Mark has a Masters from Stanford in Aero/Astro Engineering, is a former lead engineer and manager for Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin, and has a long family history in mining company development and operations. Mark is actually responsible for the deepest diamond drillholes in North American mining. At HyperSciences, Mark provides both the vision and technical expertise to lead the world’s first company focused on hypervelocity applications.

    Michelle Carbon, JD, MAcc

    Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel
      Michelle graduated from Gonzaga University with a MAcc/JD and started her career in the mining industry. She has experience in business planning and development, start-up consulting, corporate law, risk mitigation, compliance, and legal services. Michelle has held positions as VP of Business Operations and In-House Counsel, Controller, Director of Cost Accounting, and owner of Carbon Law Office, PLLC. She is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.

      Dr. Leon Vanstone

      Chief Technology Officer
        Dr. Leon Vanstone is CTO of HyperSciences. Leon was previously a lecturer for the University of Texas at Austin. His research background includes hypersonic aerodynamics, (sc)ramjets, and rockets and he has many conference and archival papers relating to these topics. In addition, he also founded the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. Leon also has significant testing and operational knowledge for large-scale test facilities. He brings his significant hypersonic expertise to HyperSciences, and provides a high operational capability and vision.

        Lance Underwood

        Principal Engineer- Drilling
          Lance Underwood is a principal engineer for HyperSciences. He is a Lead Drilling System Design Engineer with over 40 patents and 40 years of experience in the design and testing of downhole drilling tools, including rock bits, mud motors, turbodrills, percussion drills, and directional tools. He previously led development of laser drilling.

          Tim Elder

          Principal Engineer- Testing
            Tim Elder is a principal engineer for HyperSciences. Tim left Blue Origin to work for HyperSciences and has over ten years of experience in the application of hypervelocity launchers in the oil and gas, mining, and aerospace industries. He provides technical expertise in the development of the HyperCore engine at HyperSciences.

            Charles Russell

            Director
              Chuck was one of the first investors in the commercialization of the RAMAC technology and is also a HyperSciences Director. His past experience has involved exploration, development, permitting, and sales of mineral projects in Asia. Chuck is responsible for managing HyperSciences’ remote testing facility and installation as well as controls of the RAMAC instrumentation.

              Mike McSherry

              Director
                Mike McSherry is a serial entrepreneur and the current CEO and founder of the healthcare tech company, Xealth. He is also the former CEO of SWYPE (mobile app) and the co-founder of Boost Mobile.
